Storage & Transport Skid Clamp Latch Goblin 630/700/770 Low Profile Black

Model STC6377LP-LATCH-B
Fits Goblin 630, 700, 770 Low Profile Skids as well as the Competition Skids (H0345-S)

Replace a damaged Skid Clamp latch or assemble your own custom Skid Clamps with contrasting colors to match your helis.

Includes:
  • 2 Latches — Black

It's really easy to replace Goblin-style Latches.

  1. Using a small hex driver or awl, press the stainless steel hinge pin about 1mm-2mm out of the Clamp. Then, using ball link pliers or similar, gently pull the pin the rest of the way out of the Clamp.
  2. Position the new Latch so the hinge pin holes like up with the base.
  3. Hold the stainless steel hinge pin with pliers and gently press it through the Latch, into the Clamp Base, and out the other side until flush on both sides of the Latch.

This isn't a purchase review per se as I bought the G500 clamps at a dealer.
I had a clamp break, possible by my own doing only using one one each side of the machine for my pit table.

I contacted RH for warranty parts and Ray got back to me via email same day.
He not only sent replacements for the parts I had damaged but also enough to build a second set of clamps for the rear part of my skids.

Now my machine is secure on my pit table from being knocked/blown off and the tail stays put instead of moving all over as it did with only front clamps used.

These clamps on your pit table is a great way to ensure your machine doesn't crash before it even gets to the flight line. I'll grab some pic's of my setup and be posting a thread on HeliFreak to spread the word.
